Update 042011

More work last week and this week. finished the cabinets (except for the tops), and started on the plumbing.

On the first cabinet face I used a drimmel, It did not turn out too good. This method work out a lot better. Used a jigsaw to cut out the corners.

Started on the plumbing. I'm using Plex pipe. Should be less splicing so less chance of leaks.

Used old water hose to protect through the studs and other places.

This is a peek at my new (possible) project. Could not pass it up for $1000.00, boat, 75hp Johnson, and trailer. We'll see.

041311 Bus Work

I framed out my shower (no pics) then started building my cabinets for the kitchen area. This is the first one I have ever tried.

One side is oak plywood (right) it will be sanded and stained because part of it will be seen next to the bench. the other is rough plywood. it will be next to the stove so I am not concerned about it looking nice. I may try to cover it with stainless steel as it will be easier to clean and protect the wood from heat.

It's hard to see but I measured and drew the drawers and doors and then cut them out with a drimmel tool. broke 5 bits in the process. Pain in the butt. Need to find a better way.

Test fit.

Got done and it was dark. Ill be attaching the face on the cabinet tomorrow, as well as build the other one.
Once I am done with the cabinets that will be a mile stone. I will be done framing the inside of the bus.Next it will be plumbing and electrical. I can't wait until I can take my first trip. This is one year that I have started working on the bus.
See ya next time.
